ALLES IN ÉÉN HAND:

Non-Destructive Testing

Non-Destructive Testing

NDT stands for Non-Destructive Testing. Material and / or welded joints to be examined without damaging the material.

There are many NDT techniques that can be used to ensure the integrity of structural components, reactors, to determine silos and other plant parts.
All our operators at least Level 2, and are certified to EN473, in the following disciplines:

  • Ultrasonic testing

  • Magnetic and Penetrant testing

  • Endoscopy

  • Damage and corrosion inspections and investigations

  • Projects and special techniques

All investigations and inspections can be performed using Rope Access and in combination with Compressed Air Breathing Apparatus.

The studies can be conducted in accordance with all possible procedures eg Stoomwezen, AD-Merkblatt, ASME, BS, SEP / SEL Internal procedures Client etc.

Computer documentation and printing of reports takes place at the customer site.
Digital photos can be added to clarify the situation.

Ultrasonic testing

Ultrasonic testing is a method of control material. It is used to detect damage that often on the surface of the material is not visible, or the determination of dimensions of material.

  • Wall thickness measurements of pipes and different types of apparatus and materials.

  • Erosion / corrosion damage internally.

  • Monitoring and data logging

  • Segregations / doublings research

  • Cladlaag measurements

  • Manual welding research

Magnetic  & Penetrant testing

Magnetic and penetrant tear research is a way to make visible cracks at the surface of a material.
Magnetic testing can be done in different ways:

  • black / white or fluorescent

  • with Yoke, prods or coil

Endoscopy

Endoscopy is a way to see something internally via a camera.
You can think of:

  • Inspection of pipelines

  • Barrels that are not accessible

Damage and corrosion inspections

Material - and corrosion engineers figure out failure mechanisms and material independent advice.

Projects and special techniques

By the following techniques can we assist or carry out research.

  • Thermography

  • Assistance in, for example, the placement of sensors for acoustic emission at a boltank

  • Photo and video camera inspection

  • NDT coordination and project management during shutdowns, regular maintenance including scaffolding, insulation, brush and W-work

  • Implementation of specialized slijpwerkzaamheden3
